Join South
Seattle College and the American Conifer Society (ACS) on October 11 from
1-3:30 p.m. as they inaugurate the SSC Arboretum as an ACS Reference Garden.
This will be an information-packed afternoon. David Olszyk, ACS Western
Region President, and other conifer experts will be on hand to answer
questions. There will be a variety of information tables from the ACS, Seattle
Chinese Garden, Community Orchard of West Seattle and more. The program will
culminate with a tour of the Coenosium Rock
Garden, led by Bob Fincham.
Why not
plan to come down to the College for the day? There will be a Cohorts Volunteer
Work Party in the Arboretum from 9 a.m. to noon, the Puget Ridge Garden Center will be open for
sales from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m., the Seattle Chinese Garden (adjacent to the
Arboretum) will be open from noon to 4:30 p.m., and the Northwest
Wine Academy will be open for tasting and sales from noon to 5
p.m..
