Poetry/Art Collaboration Calendar

Count on having your photographic response to a poem finished by Tuesday November 25^th.

The Art Gallery Committee just met to talk about all the specifics for the Art/Poetry show. I wanted to give you an update and also let you know about a few things I will need from you.

 

Art and Poetry Exhibit Dates
on view from Jan 5^th – Feb. 6^th, 2009
opening reception: Jan 13^th, 2009 from 1:30pm – 3:00pm

 

Just FYI I will be out of town from Dec. 2^nd – Dec. 17^th. Dec. 1^st is my last day in the office. That shouldn't matter but I just wanted you to know. After the 9^th the gallery will be closed and I will not be here to accept late pieces.

Art drop off days: art gallery attendants will be managing these drop off dates
Dec. 5^th from 10am – 5pm
Dec. 8^th from 10am – 6pm
Dec. 9^th from 10am – 6pm

Hanging:
I will hang any unframed work with magnets. Plain works on paper work best for this. So matting is not necessary unless it is a preferred look by the artist or you.

 

Art Info:
Please make sure all work is labeled so I know what it is and which poems it goes with.

I need artist name, art title and medium for each work submitted. This info will go on the wall labels.

 

I am attaching a contract loan form which you can have your students use if you like. Mary has her students fill these out and turn them in and Jan doesn't. It's your call but either way I need name, title, medium info no later than Dec. 17^th .

Feb. 9^th -11^th, 2009 – time TBA

 

Postcard Image:

Please send an image to me for the postcard by Nov. 21^st so I can get the postcards done before I go on my trip.
