COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Traces the history and distinctive properties of photography as an art-making language with special attention to the social context of its development as an art form.

5. Be aware of the global importance of photography as an art and a tool of communication.
6. Be familiar with customary display venues, such as galleries and the World Wide Web.
