College Discounted Software

SSCC E-Academy Web Store
(http://sscc.onthehub.com/)

We are pleased to announce a new resource, SSCC E-Academy Web Store to the students, faculty, and staff of South Seattle Community College. This E-Academy web store allows students, staff, and faculty to order software for home use at academically discounted prices. The academic software discounts offered on this web store are not for the general public. The discounts are for a member of an academic institution only.

To qualify for ordering academically discounted software, you will be requested to provide proof of your academic affiliation with SSCC. To provide proof of your SSCC academic affiliation during the registration process, please use the following:

• For students: you will need an email with southseattle.edu domain to register.
• For staff and faculty: you will use your email with sccd.ctc.edu or seattlecolleges.edu domain to register.

At the web store, you will see two tabs – one for Students and one for Faculty/Staff.

• Students are granted an Academic Users license. The Academic Users license grants students an academic software discount, and when students buy the software they own the product. They will be allowed to keep it when they leave the academic institution.

• Faculty and staff have options to either purchase a Work At Home license or an Academic Users license. Please note the differences between Work At Home and Academic Users Licenses (and the price variation). You will need to decide which license option works best for you before you order any product at the web store.

When you choose to buy a product under the Work At Home license, you use the software at home for employment-related work; you do not own the software. When you leave employment or the college you are required to return and remove the product from your machine.

If you choose to buy a product under the Academic Users license, you own and keep the product.

Information Technology Services (ITS) cannot provide any home support with software downloads, installations, computer upgrades, or computer problems resulting from the software bought through this web store. However, the E-Academy web store has provided very helpful help page and contact information if you have any problems with your software download or purchase.

The link to the SSCC E-Academy Web Store is: http://sscc.onthehub.com/.

Thank you!
SSCC ITS Team
