Special Message for Running Start Students

1. I welcome Running Start students. (My own children did Running Start.)
2. This is a college-level class.
3. No special adjustments have been made in the course content for high school students.
4. I do not know who the Running Start students are, unless they identify themselves as such.
5. FERPA regulations prohibit my discussing the progress or grades of my students with anyone unless requested by students. I welcome discussion with students about the course, but prefer not to discuss the course with parents.

6. Some of the course content introduced by myself and by students may be considered by some to be “adult”. There will be no effort made to censor such material to make it appropriate for a high school audience.
7. Attendance is a student responsibility. I do not call students or parents to enforce attendance.
